About the Project
MGR Resources client are delivering a £2 million design-and-build industrial project on a former petrochemical site. The works include a piling package of approximately 200–250 piles with reinforced concrete beam foundations, groundworks, and associated civils works.
This role demands a Site Manager with extensive experience in piling and civils projects, capable of managing subcontractors and ensuring the highest levels of compliance on a complex, safety-critical site.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is delivered to programme, budget, and quality standards.
- Oversee and coordinate subcontractors including piling, groundworks, and civil engineering trades.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSEQ requirements on a sensitive, high-risk former petrochemical site.
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular audits to enforce safety procedures.
- Liaise with project stakeholders including the client, design team, and senior management.
- Monitor progress, prepare reports, and maintain accurate site records.
- Manage logistics, materials, and plant to keep site operations running efficiently.
- Drive high-quality standards across piling and reinforced concrete works.
Key Requirements
- Proven track record as a Site Manager on civils and piling projects of similar value.
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete foundations, piling, and groundworks.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple subcontractors.
- High level of HSEQ awareness and proven experience working on high-compliance sites.
- SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid at Work required.
- Experience on industrial sites, petrochemical or hazardous sites highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organisation, and reporting skills.
